Our system change work, ‘It’s not you, it’s the system’

The Future Curators Programme 2023-2026 is a residency programme for Disabled curators within visual arts institutions.

On 2 July 2022, 31 Disabled artists disrupted 30 locations with surreal interventions, in recognition of the 102nd anniversary of the first DaDa International Exhibition.

DASH are pleased to be partnering In Place of War on the 100 Agents of Change Project.

'The Incorrigibles' is DASH's first publication. It's a book about artists being artists; a celebration of difference, it's about humanity, that art unites us all as human beings and that Disability Art is here and now!

ABsence was a two day event featuring masterclasses and a symposium taking place at mac birmingham on 22 and 23 March 2017 bringing together artists, activists, thinkers, and producers to rethink ideas around diversity. The symposium was a collaboration between DASH, mac birmingham and LADA.

International artist Christine Sun Kim took up residency at Arnolfini in Bristol as part of the IN project. Christine's exhibition was shown between 20th March and 5th May 2015.

The Digital Humanities Hub at the University of Birmingham in partnership with DASH (a disability led arts organisation based in Shropshire) was successful in receiving AHRC funding through their Digital Transformations Programme, for their project D2ART: Transforming Disability Arts Through Digital Technologies

Daniel Regan and Antonia Attwood exhibited 'Be Here Now' at FORMAT Festival in March 2017.

Juan delGado exhibited 'Altered Landscapes' from June - August 2017 at New Art Exchange, Nottingham.

DASH commissioned two artworks in partnership with QUAD, Derby and New Art Exchange, Nottingham.
